Measuring
Steps for Male
Hold the measuring tape so that
it is neither too tight nor too loose. Please get
measurements in inches.
Neck: Hold
tape snug and around base of neck and get the circumference.
Shoulders: Measure at the back, from
the left end to the right end of the shoulder, where
the shoulder bone is.
Chest: Measure under arms and around
fullest part of chest.
Armhole: Hold tape on the end of the
shoulder and pass it around the armpit, a little bit
loose.
Arms: Place the tape around the biggest
part of the arm.
Waist: Stand straight with heels together.
Measure around natural waistline (usually located
just above the navel).
Hips: Measure around fullest part
of hip (about 8” below natural waistline).
Shirt Length: Measure from shoulder
down to the desired length (usually up to hip area
or lower).
Sleeve Length: Measure from the shoulder
down to the desired length.
Crotch: Measure the crotch length
by starting at the front center waistline and extending
your tape measure in between the legs and up to the
back center waistline. The crotch depth is measured
by sitting on a chair and measuring from the side
waist to the chair seat.
Inseam: Measure from the crotch to
ankle on the inside of yourleg. Start at your anklebone
and measure up. If you want to do it alone, start
at the ankle and measure up. When taking measurements
alone, you can take this in two parts if needed: from
your anklebone to where your knee bends and from that
spot up to your crotch.
Thighs: Determine the upper-leg circumference
by measuring around the widest part of the thigh.
Pants Length: Stand straight with
heels together, measure from the side waist down to
the desired length.

or raise your arm until a dimple appears at the end
of your shoulder and feel for the shoulder bone in
this depression.

armhole and the bust, measure from left to right side
of chest.
Chest Back: Just an inch above the
armhole, measure from left to right side of the chest,
